Permanent Courts not going up any time soon!

Even with the recent changes to the restrictions for sport and recommendations from Volleyball England it would not be appropriate to put up the permanent courts at the present time and this will continue to be the situation for the near future.

We want to support Weymouth Town Council and Dorset County Council discouraging visitors and putting up the courts could send the wrong message.

Even though it maybe possible for a social isolating group to play safely( i.e a family) it would not be safe for the general population and we cannot monitor the courts at all times as is done at some inland venues. We also think it would be very difficult to put the courts up without breaking social distancing rules (see below photo from last year!)

We know many people will be disappointed about this but at the same time I am sure they will understand that at the current time it is the only option.
