Club become a partner with Spennylympics
Spennylympics is an amazing challenge which is going to be completed by Stuart Bates and Charlotte Nicholls to raise money for Motor Neuron disease in memory of Stuart’s brother Spencer who died of MND 10 years ago. Stuart is originally from Weymouth.
The pair are aiming to attempt all 49 Olympic sports ( 80 events) during the 17 days of the Tokyo Olympics this summer.
The pair will be in Weymouth on the morning of Saturday August 7th to take part in Beach Volleyball alongside members of the Club before going on to take part in sailing in the afternoon. There will be more precise details in the future.
The pair have a large number of sporting ambassadors supporting the challenge including Sally Gunnell, Amir Khan, and Kelly Holmes. They will be joined shortly by Jake Sheaf and Shauna Miedzybrodzki ( nee Mullin) from beach Volleyball.
