BEACH INDOOR SEASON KICKS OFF WITH HOME CUP MATCH

Weymouth Beach Volleyball club Indoor season kicks off on Saturday 14th Sept with a first round  National Cup match against New Forest. The match starts at 2.45pm and for this match only it is being played at Weymouth College Sports Hall.

Last season Weymouth Beach won National League Division 3 at their first attempt and have now been promoted to National League Division 2. New Forest are well established Division 2 side so this Cup Match could be an important thermometer for the season ahead.

The match is particularly significant because  the draw sees the winners take on at home  National Champions Polonia from London . The week after the Round 2 cup match Polonia will be playing their first round European Cup match so the opportunity to bring them to Weymouth is  a very exciting prospect.

Unfortunately Weymouth will be missing from their line up for the first month of the season outside hitter Sean Hendry. Sean has played for the  Scotland National side over the summer but until the end of October he is still based in Scotland.

Otherwise the squad is at full strength.

This should be a very exciting match and entry to the College is free of charge.
