The Weymouth RAF Careers Beach Volleyball Classic brings exciting opportunities. It has been 28 years since its inception and the WBV classic, has created major interest and is set to be the biggest event to date!
The Weymouth Classic was the first beach volleyball tournament in the UK , and it is now the number one for players and spectators both here and abroad. It was voted UK event of the year by the players in 2008.
We want the Classic this year to be bigger and better with excellent opportunities for everyone involved. To do this we need you help, your support and your sponsorship.
SGTV who have a strong profile of sports programming have signed a two programme (1hour each, repeated) contract with Sky Sports to cover the event for the third successive year ( see extract below). This is very exciting news and will be great for the town and anyone supporting the event.
Graeme Sawyer and Pete Bennett Directors of Weymouth Beach Volleyball Classic said "This is a very exciting time for us, the event has always been top in the country and we are thrilled that it will be covered by sky tv and we are delighted to have the RAF and Sky on board. Now we need associate sponsors to make a sensational weekend. Whichever sponsors comes on-board are going to be associating themselves with a great event and excellent TV coverage not something on offer every day in Weymouth.
