LEVELS OF ENTRY

Teams can start in any series they choose but the:

  • A series is designed for experienced Beach players who are aiming to improve their standard of play. They may be planning to enter the VEBT English series and/or qualifying for the Weymouth Beach Classic.

·         B series is for players  who have some experience of playing volleyball but are looking for a more social evening

·         The C series is for beginners to the game.

Once teams have played more than one event in the league there will be certain rules about what series they can compete in. These are:

Any team/player playing in series A and who has reached a semi final stage cannot then take part in a B Series event in the same season (except in exceptional circumstances)

If a team wins Series B they are then expected to compete in Series A the following week. After that week they may return to Series B if they wish.

Each Tuesday at 6.30pm, after entry has closed a format will be devised which gives as much playing time as possible but allows enough time for the final to be completed before dusk. This format is the sole responsibility of the organisers. The organisers will take into account number of teams, time of dusk and weather conditions
