EVA ENTRY TO WEYMOUTH CLASSIC

For the first time this year to enter Weymouth Beach Classic you need to go to the EVA website ( LINK BELOW). This means if you want to enter just Weymouth or lots of events on the VEBT tour you can do it all iin one go. You will need first to become an EVA registered player or prove foreign association membership.

Otherwise the Weymouth event will be unchanged in its format for 2008. This means that:

1. There will be a qualifying day on Friday starting at 2.00pm when all except the very top sides will attempt to qualify for the main draw on Saturday.

2. teams that dont qualify for the mian draw on Saturday will compete in a B series event

2. The sides which will be given automatic qualification for Saturday will be made up of the top sides on the VEBT tour, upto 6 wildcards and Great Britain Beach squad members.

3. If we exceed the maximum number of entries by the closing date priority will go to the highest ranked sides on the tour, upto 6 wildcards, Great Britain Beach squad members and upto 6 local qouta teams.

4. Entry deadline will be Monday 7th July.

EVENT SCHEDULE

THURSDAY EVENING

Corporate evening

FRIDAY:

12.00 PM Press Launch

2.00 PM Men’s and women’s qualifying begins teams will play in qualifying groups. On the conclusions of these matches the sides with the best results will qualify for Saturdays main draw.

The remianing sides will qualify for Saturday’s B-Series.

6.00 PM Approx play ends for the day.

SATURDAY:

9.30 AM Play begins in men’s and women’s events

Open main draw will begin. Qualifiers will be joined by wildcards.

B series will begin.

6.00 PM Play ends for the day

SUNDAY:

9.30 AM Play begins

4 a side event for entrants already eliminated or selected invited teams

B Series final matches played

3.00 PM Women’s Final

3.45 PM Men’s Final

4.30 PM Presentation of Trophies
